WHO WE ARE

A Woman-Led Voice for Health Rights

FAWS Women Org brings together People Living with HIV — women, girls, children and their caregivers — in a network of support and advocacy. For 18 years we have worked to ensure no one is left behind in Kenya’s health system.

Founded on the conviction that Our Health Is Wealth, we work where the need is greatest — in communities, schools, churches, and county health forums across Nakuru.

WHAT WE DO

Our Programmes. Transforming Lives.

Each programme is designed and delivered by women, for women — grounded in real community need.

HIV/AIDS

Prevention, treatment support and rights — VTP support groups, dialogues and outreaches reaching youth and mothers.

Education & Empowerment

Capacity-building, peer educator training, and SILC savings groups empowering women economically.

Triple Threat

Tackling unplanned pregnancies, GBV and new HIV infections among young people in communities, colleges and vocational institutions.

Advocacy

Policy engagement, county health-forum representation, and Know Your Rights campaigns for people living with HIV.

A STORY FROM OUR WORK

“I joined the mother-to-mother group when I was afraid. Today, my baby is one year old and HIV-negative. FAWS gave me the knowledge — and the courage — to fight for both of us.”

— Mary W. · PMTCT Programme Member, Nakuru County
