Woman-Led · 18 Years · Nakuru County, Kenya · Championing the health rights of people living with HIV.

OUR STORY

18 Years of Championing Health Rights

FAWS began in 2007 as a support group that brought women together around a simple but powerful conviction — that the health of every woman living with HIV matters. Over time the group grew, and progressed and transitioned into a fully-fledged women’s organisation. For 18 years, FAWS has stood in the gap — providing information, advocacy, and peer-led support to the most marginalized communities in Nakuru County.

We work alongside county health systems, national partners like NEPHAK, NASCOP and NSDCC, and the women themselves — because sustainable health change must be community-owned and community-led.
