Our Commitment

FAWS is committed to promoting equitable access to quality sexual and reproductive health services, information, and education for women, girls, adolescents, young people, and communities across Nakuru County. Our SRH programme empowers people to make informed decisions, exercise their reproductive rights, and access essential services at the community level.

Through community engagement, health education, advocacy, and partnerships with healthcare providers, FAWS works to improve reproductive health outcomes, reduce preventable illnesses, and strengthen the wellbeing of families and communities.

WHAT WE DO

Key Interventions

Information on Family Planning

Community-based education on family-planning methods, reproductive choices, and informed decision-making, with referrals to quality family-planning services that support healthy families.

Maternal & Child Health Promotion

Information and referrals that promote safe pregnancy, skilled birth attendance, antenatal and postnatal care, immunisation, nutrition, and early childhood health.

Menstrual Health Management

Education on menstrual hygiene, addressing myths and stigma, and advocating for access to menstrual-health products so menstruation is never a barrier to education, health, or participation.

Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening

Awareness campaigns on cervical-cancer prevention, risk factors, symptoms, and screening, promoting HPV vaccination and early treatment to reduce illness and deaths.

OUR IMPACT

Through increased awareness, improved access to health information and services, and strengthened community support systems, FAWS contributes to healthier families, empowered persons, reduced health inequalities, and improved sexual and reproductive health outcomes across Nakuru County.
