Our Commitment
FAWS believes that strong community health systems are crucial for sustainable health outcomes and for ensuring quality healthcare reaches those who need it most. Our programme strengthens the capacity of peer educators, community groups, and local structures to identify, respond to, and address health challenges within their communities.
By fostering meaningful engagement between communities and healthcare facilities, FAWS contributes to more responsive, people-centred, and accountable health systems across Nakuru County.
WHAT WE DO
Key Interventions
Capacity Building for CHPs & Peer Educators
Equipping peer educators and community volunteers with the knowledge and skills to deliver health education, facilitate referrals, support adherence, and mobilise communities.
Community Health Education & Awareness
Disseminating accurate health information through dialogues, awareness campaigns, outreach, and peer-to-peer engagement to increase uptake of essential services.
Referral & Linkage Systems
Strengthening referral pathways that connect individuals and households to appropriate healthcare services and follow-up, enhancing continuity of care.
Community Data & Feedback
Community-led data collection, monitoring, and feedback that helps identify service-delivery gaps and contribute to evidence-based decision-making.
Community Participation & Accountability
Active community involvement in health planning, implementation, and monitoring through social accountability and stakeholder engagement that promotes transparency and responsiveness.
