HEALTH ADVOCACY & RIGHTS

Health Advocacy & Rights

Strengthening community voices and social accountability to advance equitable access to healthcare.

OVERVIEW

Our Commitment

FAWS believes that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. Through its Health Advocacy and Rights programme, the organisation strengthens community voices, promotes social accountability, and advances equitable access to healthcare for vulnerable, marginalised, and underserved populations.

The programme empowers communities to participate in health governance and decision-making by facilitating community-led monitoring, citizen engagement, evidence generation, and policy advocacy — supporting people to identify barriers, document service-delivery challenges, and engage constructively with duty bearers. Working with the County Department of Health, providers, civil society, and development partners, FAWS advocates for policies that uphold health rights and strengthen accountability.
