GENDER & HEALTH PROGRAMME
Gender & Health
Advancing gender equality and improving health outcomes for women and girls living with HIV.
OVERVIEW
Our Commitment
FAWS is committed to advancing gender equality and improving health outcomes for women and girls living with HIV by addressing the systemic barriers that limit access to quality healthcare, protection services, and economic opportunities. We recognise that gender inequality remains a significant driver of poor health outcomes, gender-based violence, and social exclusion.
Through our Gender and Health programme, we implement evidence-based, community-led interventions that promote gender-responsive health services, prevent and respond to gender-based violence, strengthen women’s leadership, and enhance awareness of human rights — working with communities, health systems, county government, and civil-society partners to challenge harmful norms and create pathways for empowerment.
